CLC New Staff Member Spotlight – Jasmine Gregory
Children’s Law Center welcomes our newest staff member- Custody Advocacy Attorney Jasmine H. Gregory!
Following her first year of law school, Gregory joined the CLC during the summer of 2016 as an intern in the Custody Advocacy Program. When asked about the decision to leave her own private family law practice to return to CLC as a staff member, Gregory indicated that it came down to serving children rather than parents, “Having represented parents for more than 6 years, my passions shifted, and it became more important to me to be an advocate for children and their needs to grow up to be stable adults”.
Regarding the challenges that come with working through custody, Gregory acknowledges that it is a difficult situation for all involved. “High conflict custody and domestic violence are difficult subjects, no matter who you are, but in this job, I also get to remind the adults that despite their challenges, the children and their success need to be the center of their priorities,” said Gregory.
Gregory looks forward to contributing to CLC’s success with her return in our 20th anniversary year. “Having operated my own boutique family law firm for more than three years, I am confident I can contribute to our mission and bring some new ideas to help move our organization forward.”
CLC is beyond thankful to have Jasmine on our team! Some quick fun facts about her are that she is a classically trained ballerina and is ambidextrous.
