Five Student Volunteers Making an Impact at CLC this Summer
This summer we have been inspired by volunteerism, kindness and community engagement. We have had the good fortune to have a wonderful group of young volunteers who have a passion for the law and an interest in helping Children’s Law Center. Under the supervision of Operations Manager Lisa Fox, these volunteers are working diligently to help CLC to digitize historic case files, some of which come from our earliest cases dating back as far as 2005. This is a time-consuming and detail-oriented project, but one that will have a significant impact on our organization. Already, they have put in over 300 hours volunteering this summer. Once we digitize our files, CLC will be able to maintain complete and compliant case records while freeing up valuable office space that we can use for volunteers and program staff. In addition, digitizing our files gives us the opportunity to look into the impact our work has had on the children of our community over time. It is because of their interest in the legal system, their dedication and work ethic as well as their well-rounded portfolios that CLC has had such success with these volunteers. Thank you Cora, Katie, Samhitha, Angelina, and Celeste.
