Update and Inspiration from Kate

Katelyn, keynote speaker at our 2021 Speak Up for Children event, wanted to share an update with the CLC community and a truly inspirational message:

Hello!

You may remember me from Speak Up for Children 2021. It’s been a year since I’ve shared my story with the CLC community, and I couldn’t be happier! In this year, I’ve been continuing my poetry— having published new pieces, including The Void and Justice. I’ve also started writing my first novel, Lost, as well as a co-authored book series with a good friend of mine. I’m continuing my education in Studio Art and Creative Writing, and I must say, it’s been a bumpy road. I’ve been struggling a lot with my mental health, but I’m working very hard to get better every day! I’m currently working on healing and learning to not blame myself for other people’s actions.

Thank you for checking in! And remember that you are so loved, so never lose hope!

I’ll also add that my Wattpad is “
Just Kate” - that’s where you can find a lot of my writing.
